Julie brings to you 35 years of educational experience, consisting of 12 years as a Math and Computer Science teacher and 23 years as the District's Exec. Dir. of Curriculum. She has been an Adjunct Instructor for Wichita State University and Pittsburg State University. During this time, she has been instrumental in organizing 1-to-1 Digital Learning Initiatives for PreK-12 in the El Dorado School District for over 17 years. In addition, she earned the designation as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2011. Other accomplishments include both El Dorado Middle and High School being designated as Apple Distinguished Schools, and receiving a National Blue Ribbon School distinction for the school district. Professionally, she has presented locally and nationally for more than 30 years presenting on Technology Integration, Curriculum, Career and Technical Education, Leadership and Community Programs. Other areas of speciality include: Curriculum Design, Staff Development, Technology Initiatives/Support, Assessment, School Improvement, New Teacher Mentoring Program, Data Management/Analysis, ESOL, Grant Writing, WebMaster, and Curriculum Resource Adoption. She has also worked as a part-time ProUnlimited Professional Development Specialist for ten years.
Doug Jensen
Doug retired from being the Executive Director of Technology for El Dorado Public Schools. He was an educator for 35 years starting as a Technology and History teacher and then as a district administrator for the last 23 years. Doug also was an Adjunct Instructor for Pittsburg State University. Professionally, he has presented locally and nationally for more than 30 years presenting on topics such as Technology Integration, STEM, and Leadership. Doug was pivotal in providing strategic planning and leadership to organize a 1-to-1 Digital Learning Initiative for El Dorado High School for 17 years, an iPad Learning Initiative for El Dorado Middle School for 10 years, and a 1-to-1 iPad Initiative for grades PreK-5. Additional accomplishments include being named an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2007. In addition, under his leadership the High School has been designated as an Apple Distinguished School for 11 years and the Middle School designated the same for 6 years. Doug was instrumental working with the district to build all new facilities in the district in the past 12 years. Doug has has worked part time for as a ProUnlimited Professional Development Specialist for the past ten years and enjoys working with staff across the country helping to move technology forward.
